Supporting a quality environment
Over the past decade we have grown into one of the largest
nurseries in the South West and to support this we have
developed strong environmental policies with stringent
controls. Our Integrated Pest Management system operates
very successfully and efficiently and has allowed us to
keep the use of chemicals to a minimum.
We supply many areas of the horticultural market with
a very extensive range of plants. At Lea Park Nurseries
we have delivered a competitive and quality service to
many private businesses as well as local authorities.
‘Peat Free’ products
Peat free compost supports environmental care because
it reduces phosphates. Our peat free compost is made from
green waste, bark and coir. We have been doing trials
on two peat free composts and we are now able to offer
orders for peat free grown plants. Currently due to the
level of demand this is only available to order and because
it takes more time to produce and requires extra watering
and feeding, plants grown in peat free compost incur a
premium of 20% on the price list.
All plants grown in peat free compost
need to be ordered three months in advance. Please support
the environment and ask for details.
